Guitar building workshop

that classic guitar belongs in your hands, not in your dreams.

Let us tell you a little bit about what to expect at one of our Guitar Building Workshops.

-You choose which neck and body combination excites you most and we save it for you if our suppliers have your combo in stock. You can choose from two designs.

-When you arrive for your scheduled workshop, you will first learn everything you need to know to get your guitar neck to a professional level. This includes learning about truss rod adjustments, nut installs, tuning machine installation, and fret leveling, crowning, and polishing.

-You will then learn everything you need to know about wiring up your guitar. We not only show you the process, but also explain how things work, giving you the skills to work on other guitars in the future. You will learn to read a wiring schematic, learn to wire all of your potentiometers, install your output jack, and install your pickups.

-You will then assemble your neck and body together to get a look at your creation! We end the class by showing you how to properly set up your guitar to get it playing exactly as you want it. This in itself is an invaluable skill that can be applied to any guitar in the future!

-Then, the fun part: You take your guitar home! The skills you learn are worth the price alone, but why not get to keep the guitar?

If you choose The Exclusive Family And Friends Guitar Building Workshop, you get all of the above with the added bonus of getting to schedule your own workshop date and participate with only some of your family members and/or friends! You will also get a goodie bag full of tools that we use in the workshop to take home with you. PLUS you'll get a free gig bag for the guitar you just built!

These are not pre-packaged, cheap guitar kits. We source each piece of the guitar from a different trusted supplier. We have hand-picked the best parts from the best suppliers. These easily end up being American Standard quality guitars. We have had many gigging musicians use guitars made from this class as their main gig guitar!

The goal of the guitar-building workshop is for participants to gain the skills necessary to build a guitar through personal experience. We teach you the ACTUAL skills that you need to work on guitars. These are not from cheap guitar kits. We source the parts from our trusted suppliers. Participants will then walk away with a brand new guitar they built themselves! $400 non-refundable deposit is required. Total Cost is $800.

-Falls Music Shop will provide body, neck, hardware, pickups, strings, and everything needed to build a complete guitar.

-All hardware for your guitar will be chrome, but we will teach you the skills necessary to replace any piece if you'd like to later on.

-Guitar body/finish options can vary based on what our supplier has available. Please select your preferred option when you fill out the contact form and we will be in contact with you to confirm that your options is available or to go over different choices. If you are interested in a finish that isn't listed, please select "Other" and we can see what is available when we reach out to you.

-The class will be held at Falls Music Shop facility on a pre-determined Friday beginning at 6 pm. We will then continue the session the following Saturday at 8 am. For those coming from out of town, there are quality hotels nearby.

-Falls Music Shop will provide lunch on Saturday

-The participants will leave with a professionally set-up, American made guitar.

-Cost is $800 per class. A $400 deposit is required to sign up. Students must prepay the remaining one month in advance. The Exclusive Guitar Building Workshop is $1000, but the $400 deposit remains the same.

-There are no refunds after payment has been made.

-Falls Music Shop is not liable for the following after the class is over:

  • Wear or breakage of frets or strings, or other normal wear and tear of the instrument or its parts.

  • Defects caused by modification, misuse or abuse or improper maintenance of the instrument.

  • Defects involving subjective personal likes or judgments.

  • Defects caused by accident or exposure to extremes of temperature or humidity that causes harm to the instrument.

-Our goal is for students to learn many guitar-building skills and take home a quality guitar that they made themselves. We want it to be a truly unique and rewarding experience
